Mission and vision
A higher education institution rooted in its region, opened to the world, and drawing its strength and unique identity from the connections between music and dance.
Our positioning
An educational offer structured on the connection between music and dance
This connection, built on shared goals of excellence in practice, is the core of RésoNAnces’ pedagogical project and contributes to enhance the pathways. By aligning the music and dance curriculas, shared courses, fostering collaboration within a diverse teaching team, the institution strengthens and expands the students’ experiences and skill sets.
From the artistic standpoint, cross-disciplinary projects and shared cultural references foster the development of versatile artistic profiles and open doors to diverse career paths.
Starting in 2027, the daily cohabitation of dance and music students on the Bordeaux campus will further accelerate this dynamic.
Individual pathways to support diverse
career paths
Training artists means welcoming applicants based on their potential and enabling each of them to develop a unique artistic identity, valuing it across the various professional environments they encounter.
Whether aiming for performing or teaching diplomas, further studies, or short-term career entry, students are supported from the moment they are admitted to achieve their own professional goals—which are often multiple—while respecting each individual’s pace. Throughout their training, exposure to the realities of the professional environment and their regional specificities enriches and diversifies their career goals and professional integration.
Similarly, the continuous training program for professionals expands access to lifelong learning, professional certifications, and mid-career degree options.
Playing a major role within the HEI’s and professional training networks throughout the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and beyond
The public service mission carried out by RésoNAnces and its accreditation from the French ministry of Culture to deliver national diplomas makes the institution prevalent in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Training institution as well as an information and resource hub for professionals, the institution plays a key role both at the core of the music and dance training sectors—and more broadly within the performing arts—and among professional artistic partner networks. Regular interactions with industry professionals allow RésoNAnces to always enrich and adapt its educational programs to match actual needs.
Furthermore, RésoNAnces is fully integrated into the higher education network, notably through its active role within ANESCAS at the national level and the AEC at the European level.
LMD (Bachelor’s-Master’s-Doctorate) frame
The recognition of performing artists’ skills through formal degrees is a recent development. By awarding undergraduate degrees accredited by the French ministry of Culture, RésoNAnces actively contributes to this recognition and its integration into the international LMD (Bachelor’s-Master’s-Doctorate) frame.
To enable students to pursue further academic studies—whether immediately or later in their careers, in France or internationally—there are several key objectives: guaranteeing the recognition and standard of skills through official qualifications; giving students the legitimacy and tools to integrate into university pathways; fostering an interest in research directly connected to their practice as artists or educators.
To achieve this, RésoNAnces is developing key university partnerships in both Bordeaux and Poitiers, while engaging in research projects closely tied to its educational mission.
International developments
Art knows no borders. It grows and enrich itself, it thrives on intercultural and international exchange. Based on this principle, RésoNAnces opens its programs and facilitates the welcome of international students, promotes and supports student and staff mobility (Erasmus+), and engages in transnational educational projects.
RésoNAnces is an active member of the European Association of Conservatoires (AEC). Exchanges within this network serve to enrich and diversify the educational programs offered.
CSR Policy
RésoNAnces’ activities are funded primarily through French public funding, the institution bears a social responsibility that aligns with the personal commitments of its team.
Delivering programs funded in this manner requires a strong awareness of their role in society among the artists trained by the institution. Whether they pursue careers as creators, performers, or educators, these young artists will foster essential values such as cultural rights, mutual respect, and environmental protection.
This is why—grounded in the proper use of public funds—RésoNAnces is taking step-by-step action, in both its operations and its educational content, to promote: the fight against gender-based and sexual violence (GBSV); environmental responsibility; inclusion; the health and well-being (physical, social, and mental) of everyone…
