Presentation
The program prepares students for a wide range of careers (performing arts, chamber music, teaching) and helps them develop a personal musical and artistic approach that considers recent evolutions in artistic practices and the profession.
Students pursue instrumental mastery across a variety of contexts and collection: Classical, Romantical, contemporary, new creations, transcriptions, Jazz, and Early music. This instrumental mastery supports an openness towards diverse professional networks (jazz, theater, dance, street arts, etc.).
Ensemble practice is central, both in regular sessions and professional immersion internships. Partnerships with regional orchestras and wind bands allow students to participate in large ensemble projects. Additional ensemble sessions covering various aesthetics are also organized in collaboration with other study departments.
Students are encouraged to develop their skills in composition, arranging, and instrumental ensemble conducting.
